Joined vacuum equipment manufacturer ULVAC Inc. after obtaining a master’s degree in applied physics from Waseda University. Has assumed the jobs of the president and the chairman of the company and now is its advisor. Has played a role in the numerous product development and commercialization processes carried out by Japanese and foreign companies. Feels that Japan should see the rise of more startups, provided the best technological development infrastructure in the world, especially in comparison with other Asian countries.
